Long hiatus is over!
I apologize for the long hiatus in this blog. I was booted out of Entrecard because of the lack of updates. I actually have so much to tell about Philippine taxicabs but then I was not motivated enough to write down my thoughts. Don’t worry, though. I am now writing down a lot of my past experiences on cabs and will schedule it to publish automatically every other day. Plus, I will be active with Wordless Wednesday and Ruby Tuesday once more.
Thank you to those who stuck with this blog even without the updates. Thank you.
Happy New Year everyone!
Peak season cab hailing
Hailing a cab during the holidays was a chore. And that is a very mild word I used. It seemed like all the cabs had gone on a vacation! You couldn’t find one when you need it. When you do find one, the cab driver would ask your destination and chances are, he’ll refuse because of the traffic jams. But there were traffic jams everywhere!
So during this past pre-Christmas and post-Christmas weeks, I told my siblings that if we would go out, we had to go home before 4PM, the rush hour for people from work. It paid off. We were able to get cabs in under 15 minutes during those days we went out.
I am therefore reminding everyone this: during peak season, when you are at a mall and you are only relying on a cab to take you home, get out and hail a cab before 4PM if you want to find one easily. Otherwise, prepare for a long wait.
